Three out of the five juvenile delinquents that escaped the Zurqui Juvenile Complex in San Luis, Santo Domingo, Heredia on Saturday, were captured again this Tuesday, December 11.

The minors were staying in the house of a family member in El Roble, Puntarenas. Anonymous tips and reports from citizens played an important role on locating the three 16 year-old fugitives.

Pablo Bertozzi, Director of the Penitenciary Police, affirmed that this organism will continue with the investigation and follow-up of the other two minors.

¨These juvenile delinquents that escaped are dangerous, they are linked to multiple homicides and violent acts, that evidently put the population at risk¨, commented Walter Espinoza, Director of the Judiciary Investigative Police (OIJ).

The young men have criminal records for murder, robbery, attempted murder and aggravated robbery.

According to Bertozzi, the minors will be transfered to a different prison with higher security measures.
