A 5.0 magnitude earthquake shook Costa Rica this Monday, March 12 at 3:42 p.m.
According to the National Seismology Network the epicenter was localized 18 kilometers East of Jaco in Garabito, Puntarenas.
The movement was reported as strong in the areas of Jaco, Parrita and Quepos, as well as in most parts of the Central Valley.
No damages have been reported.
