Roy Frank “RJ” Mitte III, an actor and film producer from the United States, is known for his role as Walter White’s son on the acclaimed television series Breaking Bad. RJ Mitte will be in Costa Rica to attend the Anime and Manga Matsuri International Convention and Festival, which will take place in San Jose on January 16th and 17th.
RJ Mitte lives with a cerebral palsy condition. Growing up in Louisiana, RJ wore aluminum braces and used crutches to correct his mobility and posture; however, physical conditioning and sports helped him to overcome his former physical limitation. He became interested in acting from a very young age, and he viewed his acting career as an opportunity to educate people about cerebral palsy as a condition that affects hundreds of thousands around the world.
The Breaking Bad actor is a fan of comics and has appeared at many conventions in various countries. He is also blessed with striking looks, which have put him on fashion runways and garnered him a considerable contingent of female fans. At the Matsuri Festival in Costa Rica, fans who pay the premium $70 tickets for both days of the event can attend “meet and greet” sessions with RJ Mitte. People with disabilities get free admission.
The Matsuri Festival is more than just anime and manga; it is a celebration of various modalities of Japanese culture, and it is thus supported by the Embassy of Japan in Costa Rica. Attendants will have opportunities to witness martail arts exhibitions, enjoy cosplay (costume play) shows, learn about video games inspired by manga and anime, listen to live music performances, watch origami tournaments, and more.
The Chinese-donated National Stadium in La Sabana Metropolitan Park will host the event. For more information, visit http://convencionmatsuri.com/
