The three mobile phone operators in Costa Rica will offer as of midnight November 11 the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 plus.

Kölbi, Movistar and Claro confirmed the date to national newspaper La Nacion, although prices or plans have not been released as of yet.

Some stores in Costa Rica have been selling the iPhone 7 since the end of September at a reported price of close to $1,300.00.(In the U.S.A. the phones’ price ranges from $649-$969, depending on the version and memory you are purchasing) The phones are available with 32GB, 128GB or 256GB storage.

Clients from the different operators will be able to get their phones in any of the existent agencies in the country. Movistar is also offering a pre-register option through their website to provide a better and faster service.

The latest models of the Apple smartphone have the same design as the ones presented in 2014 except they are lighter, it also has the IP67 rating which means they are “splash, dust and water resistant” and can be submerged in 1m depth water for up to 30 minutes.

Another big change in the new iPhones has to do with the camera:

iPhone 7 Plus: It’s the first iPhone to use a dual camera setup. Rear Dual 12 megapixel sensors (f/1.8 , 28mm and f/2.8, 56mm), focus pixels, 2x optical zoom, quad-LED (dual tone) flash, 4K video recording. Front: 7 megapixel sensor.

Battery life has improved slightly in the new iPhones; they also now have a single lightning port, which means users can’t listen to music with their headphones while the phone is being charged.
