KC and the Sunshine Band, the very popular American musical group founded in 1973 by Harry Wayne Casey and that became popular in the late 80’s and early 90’s with their disco rhythm and funk, will be performing in Costa Rica for the first time, this Monday, December 19 at the Parque de Diversiones amusement park starting at 6 p.m. as part of the Retro Fest event.
Songs such as: “That’s the Way (I Like It)”, “Shake Your Booty”, “Please Don’t Go”, “I’m Your Boogie Man” used to play in the radio time and time again back in the day and still today can be heard in some local radio stations.
The band is formed by a total of 15 people, musicians, singers and dancers; they have presented their show in many different stages around the world for over 37 years, including the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA and the World Cup, and have sold in excess of 100 million records, according to their website.
Several national artists will also be present that night offering the best of their repertoire, among them, Sasha Campbell, Expresso, D’classics, Tribute to ABBA by W Arts and Black Vibes.
Tickets are being sold through the ETicket.cr platform and they are currently holding a 50% promotion with prices ranging from ₵13,750 (under $30) to ₵30,250.00 (under $60) with the 50% discount applied.
