Accenture PLC is one of over 40 companies that will seek to fill 2,700 positions at Costa Rica’s biggest multilingual fair this month. But they are the only employer in the lot that offers a day for employers to work accompanied by their pets.

These days, global competition is not just about employees taking stock of their language and other skills – companies too are striving to stand out as unique and amenable employers.

Accenture is a global professional services company providing strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations services for clients in more than 200 cities in 120 countries. Accenture’s current clients include 94 of the Fortune Global 100 and more than three-quarters of the Fortune Global 500.

According to Costa Rica’s online business magazine EKA, Accenture is seeking to fill an additional 130 positions, from web design to finance, to complement their existing team of 850. Accenture Costa Rica employees have benefits that include flexible hours to deal with traffic problems, work-from-home options, and on-site perks including snacks, and the pet-day, among others.

Jorge Sequeira, Director of the Costa Rican Foreign Business Promotion Agency (CINDE), said “CINDE’s job fair is the largest and most specialized multilingual fair in the country in which we seek to create a bridge between companies and people looking for quality and well paid job opportunities.”

Job seekers must preregister for the event to be held in downtown San José at the old customs building from Feb 17-19. All levels of experience are welcome at the fair, but speaking a second language is required for all the jobs being offered. Those who speak English and Portuguese can complete free online language tests (BELT and PIP) at www.cindejobfair.com.
