Life in Color Festival in Costa Rica

These Saturday Parque de Diversiones will be the site of the Life in Color Festival, “an electronic music event that takes place in different countries around the world, this is the fourth time it makes a stop in Costa Rica.

As in previous years the event will have musical performances by Costa Rican DJ’s and foreign artists featuring the likes of Nicky Romero from Holland recognized among the best DJ’s in the world by DJ Mag, and Robin Schulz from Germany, a 30 year-old who is known for hits like Sugar, Headlights and Sun Goes Down.

The event is geared towards a young audience 18+ that enjoys electronic dance music (EDM), it features a big stage (44 meters wide) with a great quality of lights and sound, and of course, the one thing that makes this a unique event, gallons and gallons of paint, Life in Color is known as “The World’s Largest Paint Party” and it began in 2006 in Florida.

The attending public is aware that there is no chance of escaping the hoses throwing paint and colored dust.

This year the activity expects an attendance of at least 12,000 people.

Costa Rican DJ’s include Johnny Rodriguez, better known as DJ Disto and Jürguen Dörsam.

The event begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 20 in the area known as El Tajo at Parque de Diversiones, La Uruca. Tickets have a cost of 25 thousand colones (under $50.00 USD).
