The Titanic in Costa Rica was the name of a very popular bar back in the 60’s-70’s shaped like a boat and located close to what is now the Children’s Museum, eventually it shut down and earlier this year it was acquired by the Foundation Ayúdenos para Ayudar (Helps us Help) with the objective of transforming it into a new cultural space.

The newly acquired area was entirely remodeled, the investment was of close to ¢40 million (over US$70 thousand), and will now host educational and cultural activities for children and adults. The interior is a geodesic dome of 260 square meters.

“The Boat”, as it was named, opened doors this past Thursday with a show titled “Trance Submarino 360⁰” (Submarine Trance 360⁰) an innovative activity that combines live music, incredible submarine images from different areas of Costa Rica, and the work of visual artist Carlos Hiller who lets his imagination run inspired by the music and video images and paints right in front of the audience.

“Trance Submarino 360⁰” is presented at The Boat this week from Thursday through Sunday at 8 p.m. Tickets to the event have a cost of ¢8.000 (Around $15.00) and can be purchased online at www.museocr.org/boleteria or at the Children’s Museum ticket office.
