Toll Fees in Route 27 Costa Rica Increase Again on January 1st

The route that connects San Jose (Sabana) to Caldera, Puntarenas, known as Route 27 will have another increase in its toll fees as of January 1st, 2018; the increase corresponds to an ordinary adjustment as established in the concession contract.

The price will increase between ȼ10 and ȼ30 colones depending on the type of vehicle and some of the tolls will maintain the same price; in the case of the Atenas toll booth the price will actually decrease by ȼ20.00

The fee paid by passenger vehicles and motorcycles in the toll booths of Escazu, Ciudad Colon, Guacima and the ramp of Atenas will not have any changes. The increase in these toll fees will only affect buses and trucks.

The new fees for the toll booth from Escazú toll booth are:

Passenger Vehicles: ¢360 (remains the same)
Buses: ¢720
2 and 3-axle trucks: ¢900.00
4-axle trucks: ¢1,590.00
Trailer trucks: ¢2,280.00

Passenger Vehicles: ¢720

Pozón toll new fees:

Passenger Vehicles: ¢550
Buses: ¢1,090
2 and 3-axle trucks: ¢1,370
4-axle trucks: ¢2,410
Trailer trucks: ¢3,460.0
