Avianca Airlines informed of the suspension of several flights to New York and New Jersey due to the winter storm Grayson which is affecting the East Coast of the United States.
The press release confirmed that flights leaving from Colombia, Costa Rica and El Salvador to and from New York and New Jersey scheduled for January 3 and 4 and 5 have been cancelled. The airline went through the process of contacting the passengers to inform them of this situation and offer rescheduling depending on availability of flights for other days.
Passengers that had a flight programmed for any of these three days to or from the aforementioned destinations will be able to reschedule without additional fees for flights up to a month later; passengers that cannot reschedule or prefer to cancel their flight will be reimbursed their moanney.
Avianca operates a flight from San Jose with a stop in San Salvador and New York as final destination.
The airline is also offering the possibility of changing the flight to Boston or Washington.
