President Carlos Alvarado met with five deputies from Limon to work on a work agenda for the development of the Caribbean province. “The development of Limon is one of our priorities”, commented Alvarado.

Also present in the meeting were Greivin Villegas the new executive president of the Atlantic Zone Development and Port Administration Group (JAPDEVA in Spanish), the Minister of Public Works and Transportation Rodolfo Mendez;  Minister of the Presidency Rodolfo Piza; Minister of Communication Juan Carlos Mendoza; the executive president of the National Learning Institute (INA in Spanish), Andres Valenciano, among others.

“I have taken on a commitment to study these agendas (presented by the congressmen), to be able to push the initiatives together. Our priority is regional development, the generation of employment and the wellness of Limon”, explained Alvarado.

The transformation of JAPDEVA,  route 32, railroads and water sources are part of the actions being analyzed.

Villegas, the new president of JAPDEVA commented, “We believe in the generation of employment through the creation of a marina, an activity that goes in hand with the type of tourism we want to reach, also, the construction of a cruise pier”.
