After almost two months of protests and violence which has left, according to the latest data from the Nicaraguan Center for Human Rights (CENIDH), 139 fatal victims, Nicaraguans in Costa Rica and other parts of the world continue so show their support to the protesters through pacific manifestations.
This Sunday, Nicaraguans gathered in San Jose, they marched from from the Central Park to the Plaza de la Democracia protesting against the government of Daniel Ortega and his wife Rosario Murillo. These pacific protests have also taken place in other countries, such as Spain and El Salvador.
In the meantime, the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega is taking time to reflect on the bishops’ suggestion of the “democratization” of the country through national dialogue.
The latest victims, all civilians, died in confrontations in Managua, Masaya and Jinotega.
