A foreign senior citizen drowned this Sunday in Cahuita National Park in Limon.

The incident occurred around 3 p.m. this Sunday, July 22 in the sector of the National Park known as Puerto Vargas. The man was in critical condition when the Red Cross arrived and despite their efforts to save his life he was declared dead 20 minutes later.

According to preliminary information the victim was 66 year-of-age, and of German nationality.
