Costa Rica Covid-19 Update: Nine Deaths, 843 Confirmed Cases

Through Friday, May 15, Costa Rica registered 13 new cases of Covid-19 for a total 843 confirmed cases, this number made up of by 384 women and 459 men, 712 Costa Rican and 131 foreigners.
542 people are already recovered and 12,260 have tested negative.

On Friday May 15th the country registered the ninth death of a Covid-19 positive patient. This time the deceased is 58-year-old women who was also a cancer patient and suffered from high blood pressure. She was diagnosed on April 23 and had been since then hospitalized, she was transferred to the intensive care unit on April 25.

The other 8 deaths registered are all males with ages ranging between 45 and 85 years years of age.

Another eight cargo drivers tested positive for Covid-19 and were denied entry to the country. In total, the country has diagnosed 31 Central American drivers at the borders who have been returned to their country of origin.
