A giant inflatable pink pig surprised people in San Jose, as it appeared above the National Stadium in Costa Rica on Sunday evening.

The balloon stayed up for a couple of hours and apparently it is a marketing strategy to generate expectation for a show that will be soon coming to Costa Rica and most likely will take place at the National Stadium.

Also, reports from flyers with pink pigs and the phrase “Stay Human” appeared in different areas of San Jose; earlier today social media accounts with the handle StayHumanCR also started posting the same image.

“Are you ready for something really big #CostaRica?”

This campaign has been seen in other countries in the past and it has been related to a Roger Waters concert, former bass player and singer of the band Pink Floyd.
The musician recently announced his world tour with stops in Latin America.

Roger Waters left Pink Floyd in 1985, but he used to announce all the shows with pink pigs since the 70’s, the pigs usually carry a different message in every country, depending on the political and social situation that is affecting each country at the time.

Backstage Magazine, an entertainment page in Costa Rica, unofficially announced the Roger Waters concert in Costa Rica for November 24, the confirmation is expected later this week when the official Roger Waters page confirms the dates for the Latin America tour.
