Aeromexico Inaugurated Flights to Liberia This Saturday, November 10

Mexican airline Aeromexico, inaugurated its flights connecting Liberia, Guanacaste to Mexico City, Mexico this Saturday, November 10 ; a route that will operate during the high season, ending April 21, 2019.

The route is operated with planes with capacity for 99 passengers. This first flight departed from the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia to Mexico City.

Aeromexico has also been operating several flights at the Juan Santamaria Airport for the last eight years.

The flight itineraries for this new route are: leaving from Mexico City to Liberia at 8:15 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays (Mexico time) and departing from Liberia at 12:06 on Saturdays and Sundays (CR time).

“Costa Rica is a country full of opportunities and it has become a very close associate for Mexico. After the United States, Mexico is the second nation in the continent that invests most in Costa Rica”, commented Paul Verhagen, international sales director for Aeromexico.

Hermes Navarro, chief of investment attractions from the Costa Rican Tourism Board, explained that this new flight will not only increase connectivity with Mexico but also with all connections that Aeromexico has to the United States, Asia and Europe.

In the past decade the number of visitors from Mexico increased considerably, by the end of 2017 over 100 thousand Mexicans tourists had visited the country, which is evidence of the interest of this market in Costa Rica’s tourism offer.
