Several events have been announced already for 2018 in Costa Rica, The Killers concert, the 2018 XKnights , Cirque du Soleil, and the Ocaso Underground Music Festival; but today a new concert has been announced and has filled social media with thumbs up, hearts, and wows, the artist responsible for such reactions is none other than famous tenor Andrea Bocelli.

The announcement was made by SD Concerts Costa Rica this Friday morning and confirmed that the date for this event will be February 22 and the selected venue is the Coca Cola Amphitheater at Parque Viva, the price for the tickets will be announced in the upcoming days and will be sold online through boleteria.cr

The 59-year-old Italian singer-songwriter is one of the most regarded tenors; he was born with poor eyesight and became completely blind by the age of 12 following a football accident. He is a record producer and aside from singing he plays the piano and the flute. He has recorded fifteen solo studio albums of both pop music and classical music, having performed with singers such as Celine Dion, Sarah Brightman, Laura Pausini, Hayley Westenra and more recently Ed Sheeran, he was named one of People’s 50 Most Beautiful People in 1998 and was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards in 1999; his duet “ThePrayer” with Celine Dion one the Golden Globe for Best Original Song. Seven of his albums have reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200. His duet with Sarah Brightman “Time to Say Goodbye” topped charts across Europe and the single sold over 12 million copies worldwide making it one of the best-selling singles of all time. Bocelli is also a lawyer.
