Spanish professional football club Atletico Madrid are establishing official camps in Costa Rica to recruit children between the ages of 5 and 17 who are talented soccer players and want to be part of their soccer school.
Official trainers from La Academia traveled to Costa Rica and have been receiving applications since January 8; the process will continue January 12 at the Ernesto Rohrmoser stadium, January 15 in Goichoechea at 4 p.m. ; January 17 in Desamparados; Thursday, January 18 in Heredia and January 19 in Alajuela.
“Our trainers will prepare these young players, in a country with great soccer tradition, where all participants will be able to learn first-hand the methodology, philosophy and values that characterize and identify the Academia of the club as one of the best soccer academies in the world and that with the years has formed players of great talent such as Fernando Torres, Gabi, Koke, Saul Lucas and Thomas, amon others. Our main objective with these type of experiences is for boys and girls to learn and enjoy, through the development of different routines and exercises that are part of our comprehensive 360 formation”, states the press release.
La Academia of the Atletico Madrid, is not the first soccer academy to open doors in Costa Rica, the Barcelona Football Club also announced their opening in 2017.
