Investigations and surveillance processes by the Costa Rican Judiciary Investigative Police (Regional Office of OIJ Limon), concluded with the interception of a truck loaded with 330 kilograms of cocaine originating from Colombia.

The drugs were hidden in a container that was supposedly carrying ceramic tiles and packed in black backpacks. OIJ had been alerted by international police of the possibility of an important load of drugs through the port of Moin in the Caribbean province.

The container originated from the port of Turbo in Antioquia, Colombia, affirmed Walter Espinoza, director of OIJ. The driver of the truck of last names Garita Borloza, 37-years-old is under arrest.
