Officers of the National Coast Guard Service and the Drug Control Police (PCD) of the Ministry of Public Security intercepted a boat in the Caribbean carrying 946 kilograms, 477 grams of marijuana, 385 grams of marijuana cocoons as well as several containers filled with fuel.

Four people were arrested, three of them with prior criminal records, a 40 year old man of last name Hartley Cristopher; Reid Galagarza age 34 ; Sambola Granados 22, and 26 year-old Matarrita Rojas the only one with a clean record.

The operation was carried out 13 nautical miles from Potete in Limón after the authorities received confidential information of the arrival of a boat loaded with drug.
