Canada Ambassador to Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua, James K. Hill slipped and fell of a 13 ft. cliff while hiking through the trails at a tourist center in Rio Cuarto, Alajuela, Costa Rica.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. the morning of this Sunday, June 7.
Hill was reported stable, however, according to the information provided by the Fire Department’s rescue team, he suffered an abdominal trauma, for this reason they had to coordinate with the Aerial Surveillance Service of the Ministry of Public Security to transport him out of the area and to the Ciudad Quesada Hospital.
The area where Hill suffered the accident is a mountain zone with lots of vegetation which makes access complicated.
