The evening of this Wednesday, August 1st, the Costa Rican Public Police Force intercepted three Canadian men with a load of methamphetamine pills.

Officers running routine operations in Ciudad Colon, Mora, San Jose, intercepted a vehicle they had received reports on indicating that the men had ‘suspicious’ behavior. According to the Minister of Security, Michael Soto, the men appeared nervous when approached by the police, after checking the car they found two packages with pills. They immediately requested the assistance of the Drug Control Police.

Drug Control Police reported a total of 502 pink and round methamphetamine pills and 504 gray and diamond-shaped methamphetamine pills they also seized a total of $11,970.00 and 169 thousand colones.

The men were identified with the last names, Stack, 52-years-old; Gallota, age 35; and Anderson who did not have identification on him at the time of his arrest but had a drivers licence from Quebec.
