Canton “The New Chinese Restaurant”, opened its second location in Costa Rica, this time in Plaza Itskatzú, Escazú.

Canton’s first restaurant opened doors six months ago in Tibás, the restaurants are part of the company Canton Brand that has been present in Costa Rica since 2016 with a retail line of soy sauce, this brand was developed along with YHY Hong Kong that for more than 100 years and 4 generations has created high quality soy sauce.

The second location in Escazú began operating at the end of 2017 and required an investment of close to US$200,000.00.

This Chinese-American style restaurant serves its food in small paperboard boxes which not only is attractive to clients since its something very popular in the United States and other countries, but also allows them to offer an environmentally friendly approach.

“The restaurant started with the idea of bringing a different concept to Costa Rica, combining traditional Asian flavors with modern Western flavors, we also realized that in order to reach a bigger clientele we needed to expand and that’s what we are doing”, explained Owen Chen, General Manager of the Canton Restaurant in Plaza Itskatzú.

Some of the dishes offered at this Chinese Restaurant are: beef ramen, Sichuan beef, orange chicken, veggie rice, Mongolian beef, honey chicken, sweet spicy chicken, spring rolls, wonton soup, among others.

The brand expects to open more restaurants in this 2018, with locations in Rohrmoser, Santa Ana, Moravia and Heredia.
