FBI Director James Comey has chosen justice over politics in his decision to get a warrant and examine hundreds of thousands of emails found on a computer shared by Huma Abedin, a long-time aide to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and her ex-husband Anthony Weiner. Democrats and others are demanding the FBI release the information they have now and not wait. Well folks, that’s not how this justice thing works.

The FBI’s pursuit of justice must be blind to the upcoming Nov. 8 general election. The American people know all they need to know at this point, and that is that Democratic candidate Clinton is again under FBI investigation, and so is her closest confidante Abedin, who also is vice-chair of the Clinton Campaign for President Committee.

Comey would not have reopened the FBI’s first investigation into Clinton’s email practices and notified the U.S. Congress, thereby making the move public, if there was no reason to, but these findings on the Abedin-Weiner computer must be some serious business. The results have the potential of producing a felony indictment of Clinton and others involved with her.

The entire spectrum of Clinton’s past and present world is being investigated: her private email system, campaign staff emails during and after her tenure as secretary of state, mishandling of classified government information, improper sharing of classified information, destruction of records involved in a federal investigation, obstruction of justice, lying under oath, concealing information from investigators, destruction of government property, abusing a public office for private gain, conspiracy to defraud investigators, as well as the Clinton Foundation and its alleged “pay-to-play” schemes involving former President Bill Clinton, to name a few of Clinton’s problems.

She’s melting in the polls faster than an ice cream cone in Georgia in July.

Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh said this week that there are reasons why Clinton chose to set up a private email system at her home.

“I want to tell those of you still on the fence: The reason Hillary Clinton set up that private server was to make sure that any Freedom of Information Act request of the State Department would not reveal what she’s doing, because the real news is that she and her husband were selling U.S. foreign policy,” said Limbaugh. “Foreign entities, foreign governments, foreign wealthy individuals were paying big money for that. That’s what she was hiding; that’s what’s being investigated.”

And if all this was not enough, interim Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee Donna Brazile was fired this week from her position as a CNN contributor as the result of her allegedly passing debate questions to Clinton in advance of the presidential debates. These facts were revealed by Brazile’s personal emails revealed by WikiLeaks. Brazile took over after DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Shultz resigned in disgrace just after the DNC convention in July after some of her emails showed a clear bias against fellow presidential candidate Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders that were also released by WikiLeaks. As of Friday, Brazile remained in her DNC position and she denies passing the leaked questions to Clinton but nobody believes her. CNN fired her for a reason.

Meanwhile, campaign contributions coming to Trump reached an impressive $100 million bucks in small donations in October, and that’s not small potatoes.

Clinton’s nationwide lead has shrunk to a negligible 1.7 percentage points over Republican challenger Donald Trump, and so has her lead in the Electoral College down from around 300 to 226, with Trump rising to 180, according to Real Clear Politics. The winning threshold is 270 Electoral College votes based on winning the popular vote in each state. Toss up states such as North Carolina, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania and many others are all too close to call. Election night will be a nail biter.

Revered and respected former assistant FBI Director James Kallstrom, in a recent televised emotional interview on Fox News, has endorsed Trump along with most federal, state and local law enforcement personnel across the nation including the Fraternal Order of Police, the nation’s largest police union.

“I’m emotional because our country is going down the tubes. Our culture is going down the tubes. Washington is full of liars,” said Kallstrom, who first gained national recognition during the FBI’s investigation of TWA flight 800 that blew up and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on July 17, 1996 soon after takeoff from New York City bound for Rome with 230 passengers and crew.

Kallstrom is no fan of Hillary Clinton’s or her husband former President Bill Clinton: “The Clintons, that’s a crime family, basically. It’s like organized crime. I mean the Clinton Foundation is a cesspool.”

As the Clinton and Trump presidential campaigns come to a close, Trump will hold his final political rally on Nov. 7 in New Hampshire while Clinton will give her final speech in Philadelphia on the same day.

Regardless of what happens in the Nov. 8 general election, Campaign 2016 can be summed up in a few words:

If the Chicago Cubs could win the Baseball World Series for the first time since 1908 in a come-from-behind victory, Trump could win the presidency. It’s that kind of year.
