Costa Rican immigration authorities denied entry this Saturday, December 6 to a Canadian citizen who apparently is part of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.

The man, of last name Gallant, was denied entry as he was doing immigration control at the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, Guanacaste and was sent home in the same flight in which he arrived.

According to immigration authorities the man was part of the Hells Angels, a worldwide motorcycle club whose members are considered to be part of an organized crime syndicate by the United States Department of Justice.

In the United States and Canada in particular members of this club have been commonly related to incidents including drug dealing, trafficking of stolen goods, extortion and prostitution; however, club members have continuously stated they are a group of motorcyclists enthusiasts who get together to do road trips, parties and other recreational activities and that they should not be held responsible for the actions of some of its members.
