The legendary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is an international best seller edition of this monthly magazine, and since its first issue in 1964 it has featured major names in the fashion modeling industry, such as Elle McPherson, Valeria Mazza, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford, and many others. In recent years, the only model from Costa Rica who has graced the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue was Jessica Perez in 2013; this year, however, there are high hopes that another model from our country will appear in this famous publication.

 

As previously published by The Costa Rica Star, Juliana Herz is close to reaching supermodel status thanks to contract work with major brands such as Bloomingdales and Old Navy. Recently, the Sports Illustrated talent scouts invited Miss Herz, who grew up in Guanacaste, to try out for the chance of appearing in the 2016 Swimsuit Issue.
