Costa Rica Soccer Team Comes Out With Victory Over Scotland in Friendly Match

The Costa Rica national soccer team, had its first friendly match in preparation to the Russia World Cup 2018 against Scotland and managed to get the a 1-0 victory.

Three months have passed since the national team played and head coach Oscar Ramirez called some new figures to the main lineup, the experiment paid off in this first trial match, the national team looked good, although the faced a low profile opponent.

A solid defense and an offense that still needs a lot of work to be more effective, Oscar Ramirez pulled off a positive result and had a chance to evaluate the work of new figures like Yendrick Ruiz (brother of captain Bryan Ruiz).

 

The only goal of the match came early in the game at minute 14 thanks to the workd of Bryan Oviedo and Marco Ureña.
Granted there is still dependence on some figures, particularly Bryan Ruiz who is essential in organizing the team and Keylor Navas who provides confidence.

“La Sele” flies out tomorrow to France where they will match up against Tunisia in the Allianz Rivera de Nice stadium on Tuesday, March 27 at 1 p.m. Costa Rica Time.
