This Saturday, March 25th is the selected date for the Tamarindo Art Wave Exhibition, presenting fine art, live performances, live music, workshops, etc. which will fill the Garden Plaza in the beach town of Tamarindo.
The event comes as celebration of the first anniversary of the Tamarindo Art Wave Foundation, which supports local artists with the purpose of consolidating an Art Center where the community members can express themselves in the diverse techniques of fine arts.
Fine arts, contemporary dance, visual arts, sustainable gastronomy and live music will take over Tamarindo Golden Plaza starting at 4 p.m. with the support of over 15 national and international artists.
Kids workshops and a contest for local schools will also take place, along with the exhibition of different audiovisual material involving artists such as Andy Warhol, Georges Melies and Allison Shulnik.
The Tamarindo Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, the Costa Rican Restaurant Chamber, Hotel Cala Luna, the Academy of Sustainable Gastronomy “La Raiz”, ZegreenLab, National Biodiversity Institute and Walter’s School of Music are all sponsoring this artistic event.
“These spaces provide a larger offer of activities for national and international tourists, so aside from the beach and sun we can add fine arts to the entertainment”, stated Hernan Imhoff, President of Tamarindo’s Tourism Chamber.
Entrance to the event and exhibit it free and all the artistic work will be in exhibition for a month.
The event will close on Saturday night with electronic music by Lance Herbstrong.
