Whether you are looking for souvenirs, unique articles to decorate your home or you just want to admire some Costa Rican crafts. The National Park in San Jose and the first floor of Casa del Cuño in “La Antigua Aduana”, Barrio La California are the spaces where you can find 69 and 59 stands respectively that showcase a wide variety of Costa Rican crafts .

The talent of local artists can be found in these two locations as part of the International Festival of the Arts.

You can walk through the different stands and enjoy the exhibitions that include hand painted umbrellas, crafts created with recycled materials, paintings, jewelry, knickknacks, handmade dolls, articles created with leather; cosmetics, clothes, furniture, etc.

The prices are as variable as the many unique objects you can find here, as cheap as $4.00 and up to $600.00.

The exhibit at La Casa del Cuño is catered towards children; while the stands at Parque Nacional feature more “cultural” objects.

The inspiration for many of the pieces comes from Costa Rica’s nature and culture; there are artisans from different areas of the country, from Limón to Guanacaste that have come here to show their talent.

Both locations are underroof and will be open until July 9th from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m.

La Casa del Cuño in the area known as “Ciudad Infantil” will also be hosting different artistic events mostly geared towards children, theater plays, music, so you can enjoy a cultural event while visiting the different stands.
