Costa Rican-Nicaraguan Boxer Francisco Fonseca is getting a second shot at winning the world title in his division when he faces this Saturday, December 15, Philadelphia native, Tevin Farmer, the current IBF World Super Featherweight Champion.

The championship fight will take place at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

This is Fonseca’s second shot at a World Title, his previous title fight took place August, 2017 when he fought Gervonta Davis at the undercard of the Mayweather vs. McGregor event.

Francisco Fonseca was born in Nicaragua but has lived in San Ramón, Alajuela, since he was a young boy; fighting with the Costa Rica flag since his debut in 2013; he holds a record of 22 wins 1 loss and 1 draw.

Farmer, on the other hand, is 28 years-old, and has a record of 27 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw, this is the second time he will be defending his world title belt.

The Farmer-Fonseca fight is the co-main event to the fight featuring Mexican idol, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs. Rocky Fielding.
