Costa Rican super featherweight boxer Francisco Fonseca who jumped to the public eye when he faced former world champion Gervonta Davis, in the undercard of the Mayweather-McGregor mega fight in Las Vegas Nevada back in August, will be back in the ring next December 14, in Panama City, Panama.

Fonseca, a former IBF Inter-Continental Super featherweight Champion, is now going after the WBO Latino Super Featherweight Title, and for this he will have to face Panamanian Daniel Miranda at the Fantastic Casino in the Albrook Mall, Panama City.

Miranda is 23 years old and has a record of 13 wins (9 by KO) and 3 loses; while Francisco Fonseca, also 23 years of age, has 20 wins (14 by KO), 1 loss (against Davis) and 1 draw.

After losing in a controversial decision in Las Vegas, Fonseca took a warm up fight against Joel Blanco in a fight that took place in Panama in October, this was an easy win for Fonseca who was just looking to stay active and to get another opportunity for a bigger fight.

Although this local title fight can not compare to his previous presentation in Las Vegas, it puts Fonseca back in the map allows him to move up in the rankings with a different boxing organization to strive to another world title shot.
