Costa Rican boxer Yokasta Valle is just hours away from her title fight which will take place in Japan this December 1.

Valle is the Light-Mini Flyweight Female World Champion (102 lbs) of the International Boxing Federation (IBF); but this time she is going after a new title with the World Boxing Organization (WBO) in the 108 lbs division against Japanese Naoko Fujioka.

The 25-year-old Costa Rican is undefeated with 13 professional fights, 6 of this wins have come by way of KO, while 42-year-old Fujioka has a record of 16 wins (7 by KO) and 2 loses, she is the current WBA World Female Flyweight Champion.

Both fighters completed the weigh-in ceremony last night (afternoon in Tokyo), Valle marked 106 lbs while Fujioko also came in under the agreed weight at 107.3lbs; with this, the table is ready, and the fighters will meet this December 1st at the Korakuen Hall.

Yokasta has age, height and reach going for her, speed is also one of her strong points; while for Fujioka experience and being the local fighter are the keys to her victory, the Japanese fighter is slow, older and she had to come down in weight to face the Costa Rican, this could play strongly against her.

Valle is the second female World Boxing Champion in Costa Rica after Hanna Gabriels who has achieved two world titles in two different weight divisions (Welter and Super Welter) and is currently the WBA/WBO World Female Super Welterweight Champion.
