The Costa Rica Ministry of Culture confirmed the dates for this year’s book fair that will take place August 25 through September 3.
This is the 20th edition of the event as an international fair and to commemorate this the Ministry of Culture and the Costa Rica College (organism in charge of this year’s edition) will open a calling for editorials, authors, and any interested party so they can present their proposals for activities for the fair; there is time until June 30 at 4 p.m. ; all proposals can be submitted through the official website www.feriadellibrocostarica.com.
Proposals will be evaluated by the Content commission of the Costa Rica College.
The list of activities will be announced on July 18 as well as this year’s guest of honor; however Santiago Porras, president of the Adviser Council of the Costa Rica College, explained the fair will have some of the traditional activities which include recitals, kids activities, book presentations and round tables.
Although this is the 20th anniversary of the International Fair, the book fair in Costa Rica first started in 1954 and there have been over 120 events.
The book fair takes place once again at the Antigua Aduana.
