Over 100 free activities for the entire family will be part of the Amon Cultural Festival that will take place Saturday, March 3 in one of the most historic and emblematic neighborhoods in Costa Rica, Barrio Amon.

This is one of the most important urban festivals in San Jose, and this is its third edition. Concerts, art exhibits, dancing shows, video mapping, theater, workshops, tours are just some of the activities that are included in the festival’s agenda.

Barrio Amon is an inclusive and diverse zone, its beautiful architecture and the history that is found within its streets and walls give the area a nostalgic air, which inspires its residents to organize this festival to allow others to learn about this important neighborhood.

This year’s edition is dedicated to the Centro de Cine (Movie Center) that since the 70’s has been an important promoter and contributor of culture, art and the rescuing of history.

A concert with the Big Band starting at 4 p.m. will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Neighbors Association and there will be a multidisciplinary contest of Video Mapping.
