The XVI edition of the International Festival of the Arts (FIA) in Costa Rica will officially kick off this Friday, April 6 and will extend through April 15.
This year’s FIA will once again offer different artistic presentations, music, dance, theater, literature, etc. In total 92 artistic groups (national and international), will bring people closer to culture, art and entertainment.
Because this event generally attracts hundreds of people, the Ministry of Public Work and Transportation (MOPT) as well as the Public Transportation Council (CTP), Traffic Engineering, the MInistry of Health, the Ministry of Security, the Fire Department and different Municipalities are coordinating actions to guarantee a proper organization and avoid inconveniences to the attending public
Some streets in the area of San Pedro will experience partial or complete closures near Plaza Roosevelt, since the main stage will be set up here. (See Image)
Just like last year, all information on different shows, locations, schedules, food stands, as well as road closures will be available through the app: http://fiacr.com/ ; for events that require tickets, the same can be purchased online at www.boleteria.cr .
Shows will take place in seven different sites, among them the National Theater, the Melico Salazar Theater, the Aduana Theater, Dance Theater and 1887 as well as Plaza Roosevelt.
Artists from 18 different countries will take part of this Festival, including Canada, United States, UK, Netherlands, Haiti, Mexico, Denmark, Spain, France, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Norway, Guatemala, Colombia (guest of honor) and Peru.
