Internationally renowned classical ballet company Bolshoi Ballet will have presentations in Costa Rica May 12 and May 13 at the Melico Salazar Theater in downtown San Jose.

Saturday May 12 the show will begin at 8 p.m. while on Sunday, May 13 the presentation is scheduled at 5 p.m.
The Bolshoi Ballet is based at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, Russia; founded in 1776, it is ne one of world’s oldest ballet companies.

Presentations in Costa Rica will include a special program with important classical pieces, the pas de deux of Quijote, Guiselle, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake. Also, Carmen, the pas de deux of Spartacus and The Taming of the Shrew.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the lovers of ballet as well as students and fans of ballet and dance; as well as the general public that will be able to witness incredible interpretations by some of classical ballet’s biggest figures in the world”, explained Interamericana de Producciones, company in charge of the staging.

Tickets for the shows area already available for American Express cardholders through April 12, as of April 13 also for Credomatic cardholders and on April 19 for any other method of payment, tickets can be purchased through the online platform Eticket.cr or by calling 2295-9400. Prices go from 22 thousand colones (approx. $39) to 75 thousand colones (approx. $132.75).
