London, Jan 3 (EFE).– The Islamic State jihadist group on Sunday released a videotape online in which it allegedly executes five men it described as British “spies,” going on to threaten one day to invade the British Isles, the BBC reported.

In the video, which British media showed portions of, a masked man – pistol in hand and speaking with a British accent – accuses Prime Minister David Cameron of being “an imbecile” for thinking that he can defeat with a “handful of planes” the “powerful” IS in Syria and Iraq.

At the end of the video, the authenticity of which has not yet been verified, shots are heard suggesting that the five alleged spies were executed, and a small boy then says in English that the IS will kill the “infidels.”

According to the BBC, during the 10-minute video, the five men, dressed in orange jumpsuits and kneeling before masked fighters, “confess” that they spied on the IS for the British intelligence services.

The men then say that they come from countries such as Libya and Syria, none saying he is from the United Kingdom, the BBC said.

The masked man waving the pistol states, addressing Cameron, that “only an imbecile would dare to wage war against a land where the law of Allah reigns supreme and where the people live under the justice and security of the sharia.”

“Only an imbecile would dare to anger a people who love death the way you love your life,” the man goes on to say.

The United Kingdom last month began conducting airstrikes against the IS in Syria as part of the U.S.-led international coalition, after obtaining the authorization to do so from Parliament.

Up until then, Britain had only participated in airstrikes in Iraq. EFE
