Three investment groups in three countries are working together to come up with capital to develop an ambitious project in Costa Rica, one which will include a tournament-grade golf course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus.

According to a recent news report filed by Terence Cullen of the Commercial Observer, New York-based investment firm Colliers International is trying to raise $70 million for Monte del Barco Hotel and Private Residences, which would be located in the province of Guanacaste.

Along with Colliers International, Aldesa from Costa Rica and Landsvest from Canada are also involved in this real estate development project. Landsvest further describes Monte del Barco as follows:

The resort is located in North West Costa Rica, in the Guanacaste Region. It resides in the breathtaking Gulf of Papagayo in Culebra Bay. It will be the centerpiece of an exclusive oceanfront sanctuary, featuring a five-star, 1300-room Rosewood Hotel with beach and cliff villas. The Five Star Monte del Barco Hotel will be built on a spectacular coastal ridge, nearly 60 meters above sea level, with inland views of the tropical forest jungle and stunning views across the azure waters of the majestic Pacific Ocean.
