The Irish rock bank U2 headed by Bono and formed in 1976 became globally renowned in the mid 80’s and with their greatest album “The Joshua Tree” from which singles such as “With or Without You” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking for” topped the music charts around the world.

Costa Rica was no exception, the band gained many followers here in the 80’s and 90’s, even though the dream of many of seeing the band perform live in the country never came to be; fans will get a very close to reality experience, when the band L.A. Vation, considered “the world’s greatest tribute to U2” performs in the country this upcoming June 10.

The Hard Rock Café in Belén, Heredia is the stage where L.A. Vation will delight the audience with the best hits of U2. This is not just a cover band, L.A. Vation is regarded for sounding extremely similar to the original band and also because its members look and dress like the members of U2.

L.A. Vation was born in Los Angeles, California and the name comes from the U2 single Elevation. The band formed by Jason Thiesen (lead singer/Bono); Bard Davis (guitarist/The Edge); Jorgen Ingmar (drummer / Larry Mullen Jr.) and Howard Ulyate (bass / Adam Clayton), has performed in big stages around the world, including England, Holland, Italy, Belgium, USA, Egypt, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, among many others.

L.A.vation has faithfully crafted an amazingly accurate show, incorporating memorable stage elements from past U2 concerts with “spot-on” musical execution, all the while emphasizing the pride and passion of the four lads from Dublin,” states the U2lavation.com site.
