The contest highlights exceptional homes from across the globe in eight categories, including two new categories this year, Kitchen & Dining and Modern Masterpieces. Other categories are Curb Appeal, Outdoor Retreats, Living Large in Small Spaces, Great Estates, Waterfront Homes, and International Homes. Consumers can choose their favorite, and a winner is chosen at the end, including the highly coveted overall fan favorite award.

The estate in Costa Rica is listed, of course, under the International Homes category along with other beautiful properties located in Canada, Malasia, Dominican Republic, South Africa (2), Greece and Switzerland.
