Expats from the US Democrat Party are meeting in Costa Rica to plan their actions regarding the upcoming midterm elections in the United States.

Members of the organization Democrats Abroad (DACR) are holding their Americas Regional Meeting from January 25 to January 28 at the Hotel Bougainvillea in Heredia, Costa Rica. 30 democrat leaders are attending who reside in Canada and different Latin American countries.

Among the topics included this year for discussion are the situation of Latin American families affected by Donald Trump’s policies regarding the ‘Dreamers’ , the procedure that has to be followed by Americans living abroad in order to vote (which varies depending on the state)

During this event that includes workshops and training participants also have the opportunity to share through different fun activities, live music, dinner and early morning birding.
