Victor Fernández, Verónica Vargas and Carlos Calvo are three of the Costa Rican MMA fighters that will be participating in the International Mixed Martial Arts Event CRF 21 at La Rumba Disco Club this upcoming Sunday, February 19 starting at 5 p.m.

Amateur and professional fights are part of this event that lovers of contact sports can’t miss.

Carlos “El Changuito” Calvo (145 lbs), will face Guatemalan Roller “Pitbull” Garcia in the co-main event of the evening; Calvo has been preparing for this fight in a training camp in the United States, he is only 18 years old and has a record of 3 wins, 0 loses; while Garcia, is 23 years-old, and has a record of 3 wins and 3 losses.

For Verónica Vargas this is her debut fight in MMA, her base is Muay Thai, she has also been practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to improve her skills on the mat; she is going up against Sharon Fallas, also from Costa Rica, they will be fighting in the 125 pound category.

The main event of the evening will have Victor Fernández measure up against Mexican Daniel “El Cazador” Salas for the 145 lbs belt. Salas has a record of 15 wins 5 losses, the majority of his wins have come by way of submission, while 27-year old Victor “Canelo” Fernández holds a record of 12 wins and 4 losses, 8 of his wins have also been by submission.

Costa Rican Efraín Fernández vs. Guatemalan Erik Urbina, Esteban “Lu” Solano vs. Andrik Cubero, both from Costa Rica, and four additional bouts, including another female fight.

Tickets for the event have a cost of ₵11,000 colones (around $20 USD) for general entry, ₵18,000 colones in balcony (close to $32 USD) and Ringside ₵25,000 colones (close to $45 USD)
