(NASDAQ: COSI), the fast casual restaurant company, today announced that its franchisee, Fast Casual S.A., has opened its fifth Così® restaurant location in Costa Rica in the Sabana Business Center in San Jose, across from the International Soccer Stadium, in Costa Rica. “We are pleased to announce the opening of another new Così® restaurant by our franchise partner, Fast Casual Ltda.,” said R.J. Dourney, Così President and Chief Executive Officer. “Costa Rica has enthusiastically embraced Cosi®, and we are excited about the growth in this market. The owners of Fast Casual have extensive knowledge of both doing business in Latin America and the food service industry, and the Cosi® brand continues to gain support in Costa Rica. “We remain excited by the growing demand for Cosi® in this market,” said Luis Diego Escalante, President of Fast Casual. “Our guests love the Cosi® bread and fresh products,” Escalante went on to say.
