Another woman accuses former president of Costa Rica and Nobel Peace award winner, Oscar Arias, of sexual misconduct.

Carina A. Black, gave her statement to the New York Times. Black is a political scientist at the University of Nevada, Reno and she met Arias back in 1998 when he visited the university as a speaker, and she had had to accompany him to several meetings and events.

Black told The New York Times that Arias “tried to grope and kiss her when they were alone in an elevator. “He pushed her against the elevator wall, put his hand across her chest and tried to kiss her”, she said.

“I pushed him, and I smacked him in the face,” she said.

Since the incident didn’t escalate from there, she never filed a report.

Two criminal complaints have been filed against the former president, one by Alexandra Arce von Herold, , a psychiatrist and nuclear disarmament activist and a second one by former Miss Costa Rica, Yazmin Morales.

Several other women have also come out to report Arias’ sexual misconduct.

Arias denies the accusations against him.
