The 10th edition of the popular “Perro Cross” event will take place on November 12 at the Oikoumene Camp in Cartago.

Perro Cross is a cross-country competition with dogs, which seeks to offer dog owners an open-air activity that they can enjoy with their dogs in a safe area and share with other dog lovers.
The event offers three categories, Experts (8 km / 5 miles), Amateur (4 km / 2.5 miles), Walk (2 km) / 1.25 miles), Kids (2km), Grey’s (2km) and Relays (8 km).

To participate you must register and pay ¢15,000 colones plus a donation for dog rescue center Territorio de Zaguates (Land of the strays) the relay competition has a cost of ¢26,000 colones.

Currently, there are a total of 219 participants. Dogs must be at least 9 months or older to participate in the event, and all kids must be accompanied by an adult. Veterinaries will be at the event should any of the participants require assistance.
