The Russian Classical Ballet Company will bring the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet to Costa Rica’s Melico Salazar Theater on May 18 and May 19.
With 35 dancers, the renown Russian Classical Ballet Company will present the complete version of this William Shakespeare classic with the music of Sergei Prokofiev.
“There isn’t a more romantic and eternal love story than that of Romeo and Juliet. Told in all artistic languages, ballet could not bet the exception”, reads the press release.
Based on the novel by William Shakespeare from 1597, Romeo and Juliet tells the story of two teens that grew in rival families.
The Russia Classical Ballet Company has brought different presentations to the country, among them, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty; it has big experience in Europe and Asia and has perfected the necessary logistics to be able to go on tours with presentations of classic ballet.
“Certainly, this Ballet is a ‘must’ for all those interested in classic ballet, and is a big favorite among those lovers of this art and the general public will be moved by the intensity of the story and the beauty of the interpretation”, affirms the press release.
