The Siberian Virtuosi Orchestra a state ensemble of violinists from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), will be offering a presentation at the Melico Salazar Theater in Costa Rica October 7th starting at 7 p.m.
The repertoire will include famous pieces by Mozart, Bach, Rossini, Vivaldi, Brahms and Dinicu.
This Orchestra was founded in 1994 and continues to gain popularity worldwide; it has offered over two-thousand concerts and it has earned several recognitions and awards among which are winning the International Festival Competition of E.A. Mravinsky in St. Petersburg in 1998, and the Festival “Music Week of Tours” in France in 2002, among others.
“As its name clearly states, the repertoire will include pieces of great difficulty, written for violin virtuosos”, explained Interamericana de Producciones, company in charge of the production of this event.
The ensemble consists of 12 violinists and is considered extraordinary by recognized critics. In October-November 2012, the ensemble has made a major tour in the United States. 20,000 listeners, 20 cities of 12 states, and in 2014 it held presentations in different Latin America countries.
