The second occupant of the light aircraft that crashed this Saturday morning in Bejuco, Nandayure, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, passed away.
Jose Alberto Arroyo Guillen was a 26-year-old Costa Rican aviation student; he was in the plane at the moment of the accident along with his instructor, 34-year-old Esteban Mora Aguero when the accident occurred; the causes of the same are currently under investigation.
Mora was declared dead in the scene of the accident, but Arroyo was alive when the help arrived, he presented trauma to his head, a fractured leg and fractured jaw; according to the information released so far, Arroyo passed away after going into cardiac arrest at the Nicoya Hospital, the information was confirmed at 4:10 p.m. by the Ministry of Publi Security.
The plane, a Cessna 182 with plates TI BIL belongs to the Aviation School Aerobell.
The area where the accident occurred is very close to where last December another light aircraft crash causing the death of 10 U.S. tourists and 2 Costa Rican pilots.
