Singer Elton John Forced to Cancel Shows in Las Vegas After Being Hospitalized

British singer Elton John was forced to cancel his shows in Las Vegas and Bakersfield, California after facing a serious infection that had him hospitalized and in intensive care.

Elton John fell violently ill after finishing his tour through South America. According to reports, he boarded his plane after his concert in Chile on April 10 and began filling ill, “he contracted a harmful and unusual infection”, his agenda included previous stops in Argentina and Brazil.

The famous singer had to spend two nights in the intensive care unit and several days in the hospital, he was finally released on April 22 and is now finishing his recovery at his home.

The 70-year-old idol stated in a release “I am so fortunate to have the most incredible and loyal fans and apologize for disappointing them”, “I am extremely grateful to the medical team for their excellence in looking after me so well”.

Fans were expecting to see the singer live at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in different presentations scheduled between April 28 and May 5. According to his PR team, the doctors expect The Rocket Man to make a full recovery and be ready to resume his tour on June 3rd at Twickenham Stoop, London, UK.

Elton John has had a successful career through which he has sold over 250 million albums and has given over 3500 shows
