Looking for a light, fruity, and easy mixed-drink option?
Two new Smirnoff flavored alcoholic drinks were introduced this month in Costa Rica by Florida Beverages and Diageo, said the companies.
Smirnoff Ice Electric Spicy Grapefruit (exclusive to Costa Rica) and Smirnoff Ice Electric Maracuyá can be found in supermarkets, convenience stores, and liquor stores and bars throughout the country in a 350ml can presentation. They are marketed as a healthy option for responsible and intelligent consumers.
“After several months of development, we achieved the ideal balance between Smirnoff vodka’s unique characteristics, and the distinct aromas of grapefruit and passion fruit that stand out in these new drinks,” said Gabriel Ramírez, Smirnoff Ice brand manager.
With a 4.8 percent alcoholic content, the drinks incorporate the taste and aroma of grapefruit and passion fruit to complement the existing Smirnoff Ice portfolio which includes Original (Red), Smirnoff Black Ice, Smirnoff Green Apple, Smirnoff Ice Guaraná, and Smirnoff Ice Raspberry.
“Smirnoff is a brand recognized for its innovation, and other new launches can be expected in the near future,” continued Ramirez.
Diageo and Florida Beverages said they are committed to promoting a moderate form of alcohol consumption through various initiatives and e-tools, such as Florida Beverages’s Smart Consumption program and DRINKiQ by Diageo.
